The Harlem Globetrotters are an American national institution. Though the team does not play on the NBA, its knack for performance flair and on-court theatrics has always gone over well with crowds that are looking for nothing more than an enjoyable basketball spectacle. The team was founded in Chicago in the mid 1920s and ever since the group of talented hoop shooters has been touring and entertaining audiences around the world.
The Pacific Tigers represents the athletic programs and
intercollegiate teams of the University of the Pacific in Stockton, California. An NCAA
Division I program, the school competed in the Big West Conference until 2013, when it joined the West Coast Conference. The University of the Pacific disbanded its football program in 1995, but continues to field men's and women's teams in sports such as baseball/softball, basketball, field hockey and golf.
As the younger brother of acclaimed comedian Chris Rock, Tony Rock is a comedian and actor who has had to deal with comparisons to his brother for his entire career. Instead of resenting his brother's success, Tony has supported Chris's work by appearing as a recurring character on his sitcom Everybody Hates Chris. Tony acquired his own television series, The Tony Rock Project, in 2008 and has starred in his own Comedy Central Presents features.
