    »Charming Garden

This totally authentic Chinese restaurant with moderate prices is a true find. Locals and tourists wander in when they want to experience a true Hunan feast. The small portion dishes of Hunan like a Chinese version of antipasti, are especially good. The crisp, grass-green snap peas, crunchy pickled cucumbers and bamboo shoots coated in reddish chilly paste are some of the best choices. Entree specialties include the famous Hunan-style Cured Ham in Honey Sauce that comes sandwiched in a steamed bun. Try some of the really authentic and interesting dishes, like the tender Beggar's Chicken. Wine and Chinese beer are also available at the Charming Garden.

    »Mike & Anne's Restaurant

Boasting a very modern look with rather severe interiors, Mike & Anne's Restaurant is not really the place for a date. But come with a group of energetic friends, and you will find the dark, closely-placed wooden tables more appealing. New American cuisine is the hallmark here. Once you manage to rid yourself of the persistent and rather overbearing waitstaff, you will find that the eatery has its own charm; the likes of New Zealand Mussels, Mike and Anne's Burger, and the divine Caramelized Apple make for an ideal meal, especially if you are a first-timer. If you still want to try and squeeze some romance into your dining experience here, try a table on the secluded patio, surrounded by rosemary bushes.
