Located on the campus of the California Polytechnic State University, the Alex G. Spanos Stadium has been a part of the athletic aspect of student life since 1935. Formerly known as the Mustang Stadium, in honor of the Cal Poly Mustangs, the stadium was re-named in 2006 after Alex G. Spanos, who donated USD6 million to the university.
