Loch Ness
A young girl strikes up an amazing friendship with the Loch Ness Monster in the heartwarming new musical "Loch Ness", from the writer-director of "Triassic Parq" (2013 Ovation Award for Best Musical, Intimate Theatre). This charming riff on the legendary sea serpent story centers on Haley Westerbrook, the 12-year-old daughter of a scientist. While visiting the Scottish Highlands, Haley meets Nessy, a small, magical sea serpent and, through their bond, Haley discovers herself. Filled with uplifting music, "Loch Ness" is equal parts cheeky comedy and touching family drama, and speaks to the power of imagination.

Based on the classic folk tale by French author Charles Perrault, Cinderella follows the story of a young woman whose life of hardships is turned upside down. Though there have been thousands of adaptations for both the stage and big screen in several different languages, the foundation of the tale is often left untouched. A common version depicts Cinderella living a ragged life under the control of her stepmother and stepsisters, who are jealous of Cinderella's beauty and grace. When Cinderella's cruel family prevents her from attending the royal ball for Prince Charming, an attempt by the King and Queen to find a bride for their son, her fairy godmother comes to her aid and transforms her rags into a beautiful gown. Cinderella shows up to the ball and immediately catches the eye of Prince Charming, but she is forced to abruptly leave the party at midnight, when she returns to her true form, before the Prince can catch her name. A tale of hope and overcoming obstacles, Cinderella is an enduring narrative that has proven its lasting power through centuries of storytelling.

Leonard Bernstein is widely regarded as the first American-born conductor to become a superstar, changing the face of music in the process. Together with other artists who had the privilege of working with the fabled conductor, Music Director Carl St.Clair offers a heartfelt tribute to the man he calls the greatest influence on his musical life. You'll hear soprano Dawn Upshaw, pianist Benjamin Pasternack and others perform selections from "Candide" and "Wonderful Town", as well as "Somewhere" from "West Side Story". This tribute is particularly poignant for St.Clair, who conducted the world premiere of "Arias and Barcarolles" when he stepped in for an ailing Leonard Bernstein.
