Hale Stadium on Tennessee State University campus is a whale of a stadium with a seating capacity of 10,000, which makes this one of the biggest stadiums. It has a natural turf field and a quarter mile track surrounding the field. The stadium is used for all sorts of events like student pep rallies, band showcases and athletics contests.
Gentry Center located in Tennessee State University, is an ideal events venue. It is commonly used by the college students for campus activities. The center's facilities are also available for concerts and sports activities. Business congregations and trade shows are a regular feature at this venue. Kean Hall is connected to the campus center and is a major venue for recreational activities for students living on the Tennessee State University campus. The synagogue is focused on ritual, celebration, education and social action and provides opportunities for members to participate in all of these aspects of the Jewish faith. Through partnerships with Room in the Inn and Second Harvest, West End Synagogue serves to assist the homeless population in Nashville. St. George's Episcopal Church is a family-friendly Episcopal church located along the border of Green Hills and Bell Meade. The church offers a full selection of Christian education services for members and visitors of all ages. Youth groups are available for middle school, high school and college students, and adults are invited to participate in discipleship groups related to a variety of Biblical topics and life stages. TriStar Centennial Medical Center is a full-service hospital that has consistently ranked as one of the best in the US. Home of the Vanderbilt Commodores basketball team, Memorial Gymnasium can seat up to 14,000 spectators. It was dedicated as a memorial in honor of the heroes of World War II. The structure combines a gymnasium and a concert hall designed by architect Edwin Keeble. A $25 million renovation project added a new practice gym, a three cross-court playing floor, coaching offices, donor room, a Hall of Champions, private suites and a new lighting and sound system.
The Student Life Center is an initiative of the Vanderbilt University of Nashville, in order to create a separate space for the university students to relax and socialize. In the 18,000 square feet of area that the center covers, it encompasses the Study Abroad and Student Counseling centers and the Office of Honorary Scholarships too. The wide area that it covers provides for an extensive events space suitable for hosting a number of university as well as outside affairs and events. The ground floor of the building houses a large meeting room and the second floor features the Career and Counseling Center. The 9,000 square feet large Commodore Ballroom on the first floor is exquisitely designed and architectured and can be used as a theater venue, concert venue or simply a party venue.
West End United Methodist Church is one of the oldest churches in downtown Nashville. The church offers weekly educational ministries, bible studies and prayer opportunities for members and guests of all ages. The church serves the Nashville community through the West End Day School and Play School, offering both a full-scale daycare as well as a mother's day out program. The Alumni Lawn of the Vanderbilt University is used for a variety of purposes. The university itself organizes most of its events on the lawn, which is located between the University Student Center and the Fine Arts Center. The University festivals are very popular, especially the annual 'Rites of Spring Music Festival' that features live performances by local, national as well as a number of world renowned artists. The wide area of the lawn makes it a great venue for hosting parties, and private gatherings alike.
