The Seven Angels Theatre in Waterbury was founded in 1988, during a major writers' strike in Los Angeles. This "way off-Broadway" theater has produced some unique musicals and plays, such as Nunsense. The Timexpo Museum is located at Waterbury, Connecticut. The museum is dedicated to the history of Timex Group and has exhibits going back to the founding of Waterbury Clock Company in 1854 C.E. The company's history of timepieces and archaeology are among the main exhibits that can be seen at the museum.
This performing arts complex, established in 1922, has Renaissance Revival influences with Greek, Arabic, Roman and Federal motifs boasted with grand lobby spaces and ornate dome ceilings. Originally a vaudeville/movie house, it changed with the times over its 70 years of operations, presenting silent films, to Big Band sounds of the Tommy Dorsey Band, to contemporary rock concerts. It was closed in 1987. The Palace Theater has been renovated and reopened after several years. This exquisite complex will showcase a performance schedule that includes Broadway shows, comedy acts and family entertainment.

The Quinnipiac University is known for offering excellent facilities to its stundents, be it in the context of academics, sports, or recreation. The TD Bank Sports Center is one such facility that can be found on the university's York Hill Campus in Hamden. Opened in January, 2007, this multi-purpose sports facility boasts a basketball arena and an ice hockey arena, both equipped with exquisite amenities.
Located at the craft beer bar, The Outer Space, Spaceland Ballroom is a concert venue that plays host to some wonderful performances. Steve Rodgers was not involved only in the conceptualization of this 300-capacity concert space; you can even catch occasional performances by his band Mighty Purple. Many other local acts also perform here.
The Outer Space is an art deco-inspired club, bar and music venue in Hamden, just outside of New Haven. It's a great place to kick back and chill out with friends while drinking a local brew. There's live music, open mic nights and plenty of events throughout the week.
Where else could you find a music venue that offers a vintage clothing boutique upstairs? Probably not many places, but The Space in Hamden offers a small performance area (fits about 150 people) with plenty of local bands and theme nights filling out the weekly schedule.
The Toyota Presents the Oakdale Theatre (or as it's commonly known, The Oakdale) is one of the area's premiere venues. Located between Hartford and New Haven, this theater is known as one of the best live entertainment venues in Connecticut. Theater fans should not miss the Broadway Classics performances. Famous artists like Coldplay, Steely Dan, Dave Matthews, Van Morrison, Seinfeld, Kevin James, David Cooperfield, Mariah Carey have performed here.
Originally a vaudeville hall, but later gutted out, the Lyric Hall is once again a premiere entertainment venue in New Haven. Today, restored to its former glory, the theater now presents musical performances by local as well as major artists. They also present special events like film festivals.
