Onegin - The Royal Ballet
Royal Opera HouseFebruary 20, 2015 7:30 PM
Bow Street
London, WC2E 9DD
Based on Alexander Pushkin's novel written in verse and directed/choreographed by John Cranko, Onegin is a dance performance that is theatrical in its storytelling abilities. While the ballet is performed to the musical works of Tchaikovsky, interestingly enough, it does not take any pieces from the composer's opera Eugene Onegin. Following the daily life of St. Petersburg socialite Eugene Onegin who, out of boredom, moves to the country and eventually finds himself in a love triangle, the ballet successfully conveys this drama and the falsehoods of Russian high society through the art of dance.

Open Mic Night W/ Chris
Hopmonk Tavern - SebastopolFebruary 10, 2015 7:30 PM
230 Petaluma Avenue
Sebastopol, CA 95472
There are many acts that started at the open mic which are now playing gigs in the beer garden, opening for national touring bands and even headlining their own shows at HopMonk. There is also a weekly feature, selected from a previous open mic, which plays an extended set at prime time. There is even a chance you might be invited to join Bill DeCarli, to perform live on KSRO, where he is a regular guest on The Drive with Steve Jaxon.

It is a lot of fun, even if you are not a performer, to come down sip on a fresh craft beer and enjoy some locally grown, organic entertainment.
