    The Rushmore Memorial Library gets its name from the notable attorney Charles E. Rushmore (after whom Mount Rushmore is also named). He was a resident of Woodbury, Highland Mills, where the library is located. This building was erected in 1923 following the World War I with its architecture being based on the American Arts and Crafts Movement. The library still retains many original furnishings like mahogany bookshelves and a stone chimney.
