The Weeks is an alternative rock band from Jackson, Mississippi that blends Southern rock stylings with a defined angsty quality to create a relevant style of music that's well suited for today's multifaceted music scene.Formed in 2006, when its members were between the ages of 14 and 16, the group toured frequently for the first few years after its inception and managed to polish is sound and hone its stage show, before being noticed by members of Kings of Leon--who offered to sign The Weeks to their new record label Serpents and Snakes.Releasing its breakout LP, Dear Bo Jackson, in 2013, the album worked as a proving ground of sorts for The Weeks and showcased a band in true form that's unafraid to work hard to gain a widespread fan base.

    Bela Fleck & Abigail Washburn
Stone Mountain Arts CenterSeptember 18, 2014
    695 Dug Way Road
    Brownfield, ME 04010
Centered around the prodigious banjo playing abilities of Bela Fleck, the Flecktones play a high-energy brand of bluegrass fusion that incorporates a number of elements plucked from other genres - such as jazz, folk and pop. Also featuring extremely talented bass guru Victor Wooten, a big draw of seeing the group play live is the opportunity to admire each player's masterful control of his instrument. Improvisation is a key factor in Bela Fleck and the Flecktones music, as banjo, guitars, drums and horns take turns soloing and playing off of one another. The band's success has been well-documented since it formed in 1988, evidenced by its in-demand live performances and its multiple Grammy award nominations .

Sun Kil Moon is primarly the sonic venture musician Mark Kozelek, most likely best known for his involvement in the group Red House Painters. In Sun Kil Moon, Kozelek composes all the music and writes all the lyrics in a quintessential modern folk approach. He is accompanied by Tim Mooney and Anthony Koutsos on drums and Geoff Stanfield on bass. The band takes its name from after Korean lightweight boxer Sung-Kil Moon.
