What started out 20 years ago as a Mediterranean grocery store has turned into a popular deli. At first, the owners added a few tables and offered a couple of sandwich items, but as the demand grew, so did the restaurant and menu. Now there is enough seating for 50 people and plans to add some outdoor dining as well. This is a great spot where you can enjoy very authentic Greek, Italian and Middle Eastern sandwiches and salads in a very casual atmosphere.
It is sometimes hard to find real, authentic Chinese food outside of the big cities like New York or San Francisco. In this regard, most other cities will hardly feature shark fin's soup on their menus because most Chinese cuisine in the U.S. is focused on westernized palates. This restaurant just northwest of downtown is no exception. Here diners will find classics like Moo Goo Gai Pan, Mongolian Chicken and Kung Pao Beef in addition to other favorites that make for perfect take-out night or a dinner inside the restaurant.
The first thing you will notice is the giant cartoon chef on the sign for this restaurant. The next thing you will notice is that there is no inside in which to eat. You can either drive-through or eat outside on the patio at this burger joint, which was established in 1958. The feeling is nostalgic, but the food is 21st century delicious. Try an Italian burger, a mushroom burger or a Santa Fe chicken sandwich. For dessert, try the cobbler of the day, or enjoy a slush or a shake with your meal. Call for opening hours.
