There are seven rounds of competitions that determine the final winner.     This bar/club dedicated to local rock bands provides a needed boost to the sometimes staid live music scene of Oklahoma City. Despite its location in a nondescript strip mall on North Portland Avenue, it is still a pretty cool place to see live music during the week.     Whether you are a folk fan or a hard rocker, the Blue Door likely has something to suit your taste. A unique venue, the club is part of owner Greg Johnson's home, adding to the intimacy of shows. The 100-seat room hosts performances by singers and songwriters. No big arena spectacles here, and what the club calls "roots-oriented" bands.     If you want to watch the big game and drink a few beers, try this place near Northwest Expressway and Hefner Parkway.     A choir made up of the finest local singers, Canterbury is a musical powerhouse that performs timeless church pieces, classical works and contemporary favorites. The choir's prestige has led it to produce several commercial albums and draw guest singers like Placido Domingo to concerts. Three performances are held throughout the year. The choir also performs with the Philharmonic Orchestra during the holiday season. The season runs from October to May, with ticket prices ranging from $20-$45. The cost is well worth it, as these singers will awe you. This place opens at 8pm on Saturday and at 3pm on Sunday.
