Minnesota Valley National Wildlife Refuge
Tu to Su from 09:00 AM to 05:00 PMNestled on the southern edge of the Twin Cities is one of the few urban wildlife refuges in the country. It offers visitors a rare chance to see natural habitat without venturing far from the city. The 8,000-acre reserve runs along the banks of the Minnesota River. The visitors center provides spectacular views of the river valley. There are a number of hiking and biking trails, prime bird watching spots overlooking the valley and picnic grounds that crisscross the Refuge. Admission to the visitor center and the reserve is free.
