Gates of Hell by Rodin

Gates of Hell is a six-meter tall pair of bronze doors by Auguste Rodin. It took him two decades to create this sculptural wonder forming the centerpiece of the Rodin Sculpture Garden. It portrays The Inferno from Dante's Divine Comedy. The sculpture has over 200 human figures and some of Rodin's independent works like The Thinker and The Kiss are believed to be a part of the sculpture but were later removed. Gates of Hell by Rodin is an immaculate poetry and a marvelous work of imagination. The sculpture is a major highlight of the Stanford University
