    Craig Ferguson
City National Grove of AnaheimOctober 25, 2014 7:30 PM
    2200 East Katella Avenue
    Anaheim, CA 92806
Scotland-born and New York-based entertainer Craig Ferguson has found success as an actor, musician, comedian and late-night host. After various gigs as a drummer in rock and punk bands, he began appearing in British sitcoms and making the rounds on the stand-up circuit. Ferguson moved to Los Angeles in 1994 and found himself working with American icons Bettie White and Marie Osmond before earning his breakthrough role as Drew Carey's boss on The Drew Carey Show. His seven-year run with the show and over-the-top English accent opened several other television opportunities for him, and he eventually became Craig Kilborn's successor on CBS's The Late Late Show. Ferguson has host of the popular talk-show since 2004 and occasionally acts in supporting roles on major films.

    The Man From Earth
    STAGES theatreOctober 25, 2014 5:00 PM
    400 East Commonwealth Avenue
    Orange County, CA 92832
"The Man From Earth" is a thoughtful science fiction drama adapted from the 2007 film written by Jerome Bixby -- one of the most successful and prolific writers of science fiction's golden age. Bixby co-wrote the story that served as the basis for "Fantastic Voyage", penned multiple episodes of the original run of "Star Trek" (including the classic "Mirror, Mirror" episode), and his story "It's a Good Life" was the basis for an episode of "The Twilight Zone" and was later featured in "Twilight Zone: The Movie". Bixby's brilliant swan song, "The Man From Earth" centers on John Oldman, a history professor who suddenly decides to resign. When his colleagues show up at his home for an impromptu going-away party turned informal inquisition, Oldman is compelled to announce his extraordinary reasons for leaving. And what starts as a friendly gathering eventually builds to a shocking climax in this stage adaptation of a powerful sci-fi story.

    Accomplice By Rupert Holmes
    STAGES theatreOctober 25, 2014 8:00 PM
    400 East Commonwealth Avenue
    Orange County, CA 92832
"Accomplice", the comedy-thriller now at STAGEStheatre, comes from the pen of Rupert Holmes, the writer behind the Tony-winning mysteries "Drood" and "Curtains" (not to mention the soft rock standard "Escape" ("The Piña Colada Song")). With murder mysteries, it's common practice to say that "things are not what they seem," but "Accomplice" takes subterfuge to the extreme, offering a play-within-a-play that is deviously plotted and full of revelations. What starts out as a seemingly conventional thriller turns out to be much more complicated than simple murder. Awarded an Edgar -- the Oscar of crime literature -- by the Mystery Writers of America, "Accomplice" will charm and entertain, even as it keeps you rapt with excitement. David Campos directs.
