The Tulane Green Wave represents the athletic programs and
intercollegiate teams of Tulane University in New Orleans, Louisiana.
As a member of the NCAA's Division I, the university competes in Conference USA and the Football Bowl Subdivision (FBS). Tulane sponsors a wide variety of men's and women's programs in sports such as baseball, basketball, football, volleyball, cross country, tennis, swimming and golf.
The Sacramento Kings are a professional basketball team and a member of the National Basketball Association. The Kings had a long journey before they settled in Sacramento in 1985. The franchise was originally created in 1945 as the Rochester Royals of the National Basketball League. In 1948 the Royals moved over to the Basketball Association of America. The next year the Royals joined the NBA as part of the NBA-BBA merger. The team relocated to Cincinnati in 1957 where they played for 15 seasons before moving to Kansas City in 1972. The Kings currently compete in the Pacific Division of the Western Conference.
