»Puddle Of Mudd

January 30, 2015 8:00 PM

Puddle of Mudd is an alternative rock band originally based out of Kansas City. Though it has roots dating back as early as 1992, the band really gained exposure in the 2000s, joining the era's pack of post-grunge, hard rock-influenced radio bands that includes groups such as Nickelback, Creed and Fuel. In 2001, Puddle of Mudd had the pleasure of signing to Limp Bizkit frontman Fred Durst's record label, as the group's pop-filtered, chuggy distorted guitar rock is perfectly tailored for fans of modern rock radio. Some music fans will most certainly bash on Puddle of Mudd and its ilk for returning to the exhausted grunge-pop well a few too many times, but that assuredly won't matter at all to the group's legions of mainstream fans.

»Nina Diaz and Sarah Jaffe

January 30, 2015 9:00 PM

Sarah Jeffe is a singer/songwriter folk artist from Denton, Texas. Her early work debuted in 2007 with a self-released EP that was well-received and critically-acclaimed both locally and in a couple of national publications, including Rolling Stone. Jaffe creates sparse, emotional folk tunes that often drift by with an almost ambient quality that draws a lot of deserved attention to her beautiful voice. Gently plucked acoustic guitar is the mainstay in her songs, but she'll often employ other musicians to add touches of accordion or strings. Jaffe's music has a discernibly reflective, almost meditative quality to it that has won her comparisons to famous female singer/songwriters such as Joni Mitchell.

»Slade Ham

January 30, 2015 8:30 PM

Truth. That's what it all comes down to in Slade's show. It's not always pretty - it's never politically correct - but it is always side splitting hilarious! In a day and age where a lot of comics are unoriginal, and the original ones play to the "back of the room" and over the crowd's head, Slade is a refreshing change of pace. Now a regularly touring national act, Slade has a show worth watching! It's a no-holds-barred ride through the world we live in, and as he is constantly writing new material, it's never the same show twice. Catch one of the fastest rising comedians today! Ron Vigh features for this show.
