Steve Byrne
The American Comedy Co.April 02, 2015 8:00 PM

San Diego, CA 92101
The bracing comedic genius that made TBS's "Sullivan & Son" "the next great adult sitcom" -- Steve Byrne -- mounts the stand-up stage once more. Before creating the hit sitcom, Byrne had released two hit hour-long stand-up specials on Comedy Central, toured as part of Vince Vaughn's "Wild West Comedy Tour" and performed stand-up on "The Tonight Show", "Jimmy Kimmel Live!","The Late Late Show" and BET's "Comic View". Recently, he released his third one-hour standup comedy special, "Champion", on Netflix, bringing his high-energy style and unique takes on dating, growing up Irish-Korean and the difference between male and female exotic dancers (hint: it's all in the hips) to a whole new audience. See him live at The American Comedy Co.

The Chop Tops (Farewell Show) w/ The Strikers & The Gore Horsemen
Soda BarApril 02, 2015 9:00 PM
3615 El Cajon Boulevard
San Diego, CA 92104
Formed in 1995, the Santa Cruz-based rockabilly outfit The Chop Tops combines its punk, surf and pyschobilly influences to create a brand of upbeat rebel music it calls "Revved-Up Rockabilly." Lead singer and stand-up drummer Sinner formed the band after playing in several San Francisco acts and deciding that rockabilly came most naturally to him. Along with a single guitarist and a stand-up bassist, Sinner has managed to turn The Chop Tops into a longstanding act that has headlined its own national tours and shared the stage with artists such as the Dead Kennedys, John Lee Hooker and Chuck Berry. Since the release of its debut album, Revved-Up Rockabilly in 1997, the band has released five other studio albums including its 2010 effort, Deadly Love.

The Main Squeeze
WinstonsApril 02, 2015
1921 Bacon Street
San Diego, CA 92107
The Main Squeeze in a band from Bloomington, Indiana that has been making a unique blend of hip-hop, alternative rock, funk and soul music since 2008. A favorite of the Midwest festival circuit, The Main Squeeze manages to showcase its members' instrumental prowess during each show with extended jams and forays into experimental funk territory. While the band's dynamic lead singer might be the obvious sonic and visual spectacle, upon further examination, the other members of the band, especially the pocket bass player and the flashy guitarist, are definitely worthy of praise.
