    WHO

    FREE Warrior Transition Assistance Workshop (for up to 20 participants) that targets active duty service members and spouses who are about to transition from the military. This two-day workshop focuses on topics such as resume writing, value proposition, translating military experience to "civilian speak," and much more! The high-touch model offers a 5 to 1, participant to instructor ratio, allowing for one-on-one support in developing or fine tuning a civilian resume. Participants are also guided through practical application in interview skills, strategic planning and goal setting.

    What makes the USO/Hire Heroes USA Transition Workshop unique?

    Instructors are comprised of OEF/OIF veterans, civilian career counselors and former HR recruiters/specialists from corporate America Instructors work with participants to create a high quality civilian resume and craft their value proposition HR recruiters from the local community facilitate one-on-one mock interviews, providing participants with honest, friendly feedback on what they did well during the interview and what they might want to do differently in the futureContinuum of services, meaning that the Hire Heroes USA team is available to work with participants beyond the workshop to tailor their resume and help prepare for interviews, as specific opportunities arise
