DeLaveaga Golf and Lodge was carved out of a park in Santa Cruz in the year 1970. It is one of the most scenic golf courses in California and is loaded with trees, shrubs and greenery. The Natural Bridges State Beach is a good place to take a much deserved break from your daily life and to just slow down. This park is known for its beach area, that houses many a marine species such as crabs, sea stars, wildflowers and more, in addition to birds, seals and otters. If you're lucky, you may even find a whale in the deep waters in the distance. The park has a visitor center as well, along with several picnic tables. The park is also the nesting ground of a large colony of Monarch butterflies, and one can tour the park to know more about them.
