The children's selection is immense, with many titles that probably aren't available anywhere else in the city.

Be sure not to miss Seminary Co-op Bookstore buried in the University of Chicago's Theological Seminary. The shelves are virtually stuffed with more than 100,000 titles covering almost any academic subject you can think of. Books on theology, philosophy, and literary criticism are their particular areas of specialty, but there are plenty of books on more general subjects as well. This is a truly amazing bookstore located in a particularly lovely and tranquil part of the city.

Be careful, though, it is easy to miss the shop, located in the below-ground floor of a residential building.
