Supported by a group called the Friends of Garfield Park, the space is also used to host several large-scale functions and events. You can attend musicals and theatrical performances by production companies like the Shakespeare and More Theatre Company. If you are weary of the noisy city and want to escape to a peaceful heaven, Garfield Park is the place to go.
This course has been ranked among the top 25 public golf courses in the U.S. since its opening in 1964. This 27-hole championship course was designed by Robert Trent Jones and Rees Jones. It will be a great challenge for all golfers.
Situated across the Madison Avenue, the Hendricks Park is a lovely green space. Here, you can simply take a stroll or read a book; it also features a shelter.
The Cultural Trail is a great way to enjoy some exercise while taking in local culture. The eight-mile (13-kilometer) expanse of trail takes you through a series of pieces of public art for you to enjoy. Additionally, the trail connects to Indianapolis's best cultural districts, so whenever you get off the trail you'll be ready to enjoy all that the city has to offer.
