The Untouchables is a large soul revival band that formed in 1981 in Los Angeles. After becoming the house band at the Roxy Theatre, it began receiving attention for it's mod-style soul. One of its classic songs, "I Spy for the FBI," has been featured in many film soundtracks and "Free Yourself" became a staple played at nearly every type of family gathering - bar-mitzvahs, weddings, reunions. While The Untouchables has gone through many lineup changes over the years, the group is still performing its hits around the world.

»Jeff Austin (Formerly Of Yonder Mountain String Band) and His Band Featuring Danny Barnes, Ross Martin and Eric Thorin.

February 11, 2015 8:00 PM

Singer/songwriter Danny Barnes, known for his talent on the banjo, began his career as front-man of the Austin-based alternative country band Bad Livers, which gained Barnes notoriety as a respectable musician. Since moving to Washington in 2000, Barnes disbanded the Bad Livers, and began producing solo work, which has received acclaim from a good deal of prominent musicians. Barnes incorporation of bluegrass, cow-punk and folk into his banjo-heavy americana has also drawn in a wide variety of fans and allowed him to share the stage or work with everyone from the Butthole Surfers to Bela Fleck to Lyle Lovett. While Barnes musical credits are extensive, he is perhaps most noted for his 'folkTronics' project, which involved experimental forays into the world of electronics and allowed Barnes to dramatically expand the tonal range of his banjo and thus diversify his sound even further.

»Chicago Farmer and Old Shoe

February 14, 2015 9:00 PM

Born and raised in the very small town of Delavan, Illinois, Cody Diekhoff grew up in the type of environment that breeds American folk singers. However, after he developed his style of singer/songwriter folk, full of poetic and heartfelt lyrics, Diekhoff decided it was time to move to the big city in order to spread his music beyond the confines of Delavan. He then moved to Chicago and adopted the rather fitting pseudonym Chicago Farmer in 2003. Since then, Diekhoff has performed countless college bars, radio stations and prominent venues throughout the city, winning over audiences along the way.
