The New York Red Bulls is a professional soccer team based out of Harrison, New Jersey that plays for the Eastern Division of Major League Soccer. Founded in 1995 and representing the New York metropolitan area, the team has gone through numerous name changes, starting with the New York/New Jersey MetroStars until 1997, which lasted until 2006, when it changed its name to the New York Red Bulls.
