British duo Slow Club is singer and guitarist Rebecca, alongside guitarist Charles. The two largely sing duets in an old folk style, however their lyrics tend to be more eccentric than the genre they are drawing upon. Their songs do tend to be largely focused on love and relationships, though their unique take captures the hear-felt nature of their work, and combined with a fusion of acoustic and electric elements, Slow Club keeps things fresh.

Not every wartime battle is fought overseas. That's the crux of playwright Caridad Svich's new drama "Spark", which looks at the domestic struggles that working-class American sisters Evelyn, Ali and Lexie Glimord face in the aftermath of a recent war. The production offers a contemporary look at how everyday U.S. citizens grapple with war, trauma, faith and love, especially when they're faced with economic hardships. Director Colin Hovde ushers in the Theater Alliance's world premiere of this moving story of strength, courage and family.
