The location of this club is ideal: opposite the Halls des Chars, one of Strasbourg's centres of artistic creation, and the Laiterie-Artefact, which is the concert venue for new music in Strasbourg. It's also just 2 minutes from the Centre Autonome Jeune Molodoi, which organizes concerts and evening entertainment. Furthermore it has a large capacity and the basement is especially fitted out for private parties. As far as the music is concerned you will not be left idle: Friday is "Expression Libre" (Free expression) evening, where you can listen to the music or join in. A couple of times a month they also have couscous evenings with exotic dancers. The terrace and barbecue are especially popular in summer. Whatever the hour, if you are a little hungry, the Irish Café will always be happy to welcome you! They serve dishes and sandwiches there for between 17 and 40 FF (EUR 2.60 to 6.09) until four in the morning. The menu is fairly varied, sandwiches, pizzas and lasagnes. If you wish, moreover, to wash down your meal with an Irish beer, its the ideal place! Expect to pay around 12 FF (EUR 1.83) for a soft drink, 30 FF (EUR 4.57) for an alcoholic drink, 12 FF (EUR 1.83) for a beer and 36 FF (EUR 5.48) for half a litre of wine.
'Le Monte Carl' is very friendly and is one of the only gay bars in Strasbourg. There is always a party atmosphere, so if you like to party and you like dance music, you will love this place. Even though this place is usually frequented by regulars, newcomers and tourists who are just passing through will always receive a warm welcome. With a solid reputation, this bar has been established for some years as the spearhead of Strasbourg house music parties. Boundaries cease to exist here, both in terms of the food, which includes tapas dishes from all over the world, and DJs, who are as likely to be from Germany or Switzerland as Strasbourg. From Monday to Wednesday, beer, wine, Ricard and cocktails cost 12F (EUR 1.83) all night. And to top it all, the sofas are comfortable! With an oriental décor and a wide range of musical styles (R&B, electronica and salsa), Le Miroir is a fantastic place to party the night away. Although it is quite small and intimate compared to the bigger nightclubs of the area, Le Miroir attracts some of Alsace's most famous DJs.
The speciality here is their home-brewed beer, which is made in the leather barrels located in the bar. Both light and brown ales are excellent and there are also seasonal and creative brews. The music is blues, with live concerts a few times a week. If you fancy a snack, you can treat yourself to the bruscotta (pizza on Italian bread) cooked in the Lanterne kitchen. Here you are not likely to here the latest Dance chart toppers, but if you love 70s music and Rock then 'Le Feeling Club' could be the right choice for great night out with friends.
