Team-sports enthusiasts find everything they need at Casal Sports. Sports covered range from football to basketball to volleyball, and Casal sells everything from shoes to clothing to balls, nets, and baskets. Casal Sports supplies many local teams with uniforms and supplies, but individuals are welcome as well.
This mini-supermarket right in the heart of the town is entirely dedicated to organic produce and covers the entire range of existing products. Here you will find fruit and vegetables cultivated in just the same way as your grandmother used to grow them, along with meat, cereals and dairy products. It's easy to get caught up in the system because the products have a touch of magic in their taste, as though you're taking a trip back into bygone days.Vitale is proof that it is possible to live entirely on organic produce without spending a fortune, which is very rare nowadays.
This big shop is full of the joys of life and good humour. There are plenty of flashy colours, some particularly eccentric designs, and a few really novel styles. All this comes in sizes 44 to 60 and, while it's not the key to happiness, certainly helps you get there! A rather expensive happiness at that though.
The Parisian "Tati" shops have sprung roots outside of the capital. In this beautiful building in this very commercial street of Strasbourg, building which, until very recently housed Strasbourg's gas and electricity boards, you should be able to find something you like. If you like rummaging around for hours and don't mind crowds, go ahead! If you come back often enough you'll be able to build up your whole wardrobe for next to nothing. And don't forget Tati Or, where a solid gold ring will soon cost the same as .a baguette loaf.
This jeweller's is a family business. For three generations the Kamlets have been masters in the art of jewellery and if, from outside, the house doesn't look much, don't be misled because outward appearances aren't everything. The owner attributes a great importance to creativity and the air of youth that inspires the various creations. There's no doubt that here, your most precious and wildest desires can become real and palpable thanks to the extraordinary innovations that are constantly used in the designs. The jewellery is always absolutely divine and of a rare delicacy, whatever its value or the materials used to make it!
The clothes here are very, very, very high class some quite simple and others more "dressy". You can find everything here for an outing in the higher circles but not really for wearing at home, unless you want to sink into depression.
Intersport in Strasbourg means three things: first, an complete selection of goods (including shoes and clothing) for all sports (cycling, mountain sports, racket sports, roller skating, etc.); second, the in-depth knowhow of a competent sales staff; third, a huge, 1500-square-metre shop. And the prices are pretty good to boot!
Shops Center Sport is the youngest competitor of the major sporting-goods chains Intersport and Go Sport. Here you can get just about anything you want (sports shoes, jogging suits, T-shirts, equipment, etc), and the prices on brand names are quite competitive. The true strong point of this shop, however, is its customer card: sign up for free and begin immediately receiving 10%-30% discounts, as well as a monthly chance at winning big-time prizes.
If your children demand "brand name" shoes to put on their pretty little feet and if the prospect of seeing them wear out shoes that cost exorbitant prices makes you shudder, the price-tags at Little Big Foot (up to half price) will be a great relief for you.And it must be said that the shoes are all of very good quality and very, very pretty!
At Duroc Optique, priority has been given to space; as a result, this is one of the few optical shops in Strasbourg where you can choose a pair of glasses in peace and serenity. There is an extremely wide choice and everyone will find something he likes. Moreover, the people who work here are patient, competent, pleasant, honest and willing to help. It should also be pointed out that the shop offers nearly-two-for-one deals, and that students (particularly MGEL members) can benefit from attractive price reductions.
There's everything here to make up baby's first wardrobe! The clothes are of excellent quality and are extremely comfortable for the simple reason that they are all, or almost all, made of cotton. Little pyjamas, all-in-one suits and bodysuits, all in tender and amusing colours, are priced to sell. Which is just as well--new mums and dads spend enough as it is!
If you're anti-futurist and not in the mood for breaking into your piggy bank to buy something for a fashionable child, you'd better be on your way! For the others, you'll immediately be enchanted by this shop's huge and enticing display windows, and you won't be able to stop yourself going in to experience the soft, gentle atmosphere of the place. The place oozes quality and carries all the brand names you crave for your little imps. Of course, when you come away your pocketbook will be a little worse for wear; but then, what's a little money when you love, dahling?
