The Clear Lake Park is located on the shores of a beautiful lake which goes by the same name. The park is a major picnic spot and includes various sports activities. Clear Lake Park Pavilion is an open-air, covered facility available for picnics, parties and other events. In fact, the Landolt Pavilion is host to the annual Crowfish Festival which includes crawfish eating competition, games, arts and crafts stalls and great live entertainment. The Clear Lake Celtic Music Festival held here too is extremely popular amongst locals as well as tourists.
Located in the serene Clear Lake area, the 500 seater, Bayou Theatre is an ideal space for almost any kind of event. Meetings, lectures, conferences, concerts, seminars and much more take place at the theatre. Situated in the University of Houston it is replete with microphones, a mixing board, a host of audio-visual equipment and a vast array of possible lighting arrangements.
If you are on the south side of town, the Gulf Point 30 is a great place to see a movie. After all, a new theater with huge screens and stadium seating is always a treat for viewing any flick. With 30 screens featuring Hollywood's latest releases, it is almost impossible to be dissatisfied with the selection. Several snack bars can set you up with popcorn, nachos, candy, and more, but bring along some cash.

An evening's entertainment usually consists of three or more comedians and an occasional hypnotist or ventriloquist. If you are a speed demon, ask about the comedy defensive driving class. Originally inaugurated as the Pasadena Memorial Stadium in 1965, this stadium was renamed the Pasadena ISD's Veterans' Stadium in 2006, in an endeavor to honor war veterans. The stadium also includes Newcomb Field, a football field dedicated to retired coach Bill Newcomb, which hosts varsity games in the winter. This 16,800-capacity stadium is used largely for high school games.
