    Located at the banks of the Saint-Laurent river, Parc Laviolette is an urban park offering great recreational facilities. With a good number of tennis courts as well as softball fields within the park, it's a regular haunt of sports enthusiasts. Apart from this, there's a great play area for children including an innovatively designed water section where the little ones can splash about and play with the various sprinklers; a delight for the kids. The lush green areas within the park provide good opportunities for a leisurely stroll or a simple picnic. With paved walkways and adequate facilities for visitors, Parc Laviolette is one of the biggest and most visited public parks in the city.

    Centrally located in the city, close to the city hall, Parc Champlain is a refreshing patch of green in a predominantly urban setting. Standing at the corner of rue Royale and rue Bonaventure, the little park has been beautifully landscaped and features well manicured lawns, flower beds and a lush tree cover. The walkways running through the park makes it a good option for walkers while the ample benches are a good opportunity to relax under the cool shade on sunny days. The water fountain located within the park is a refreshing sight. The park is also occasionally host to cultural events. An excellent place picnics, the park sees a fair number visitors from locals to tourists stopping by for a break.

    The delightful park located at the banks of the Saint-Laurent river is a fantastic recreational area. Highlight of the park is the promenade which offers a relaxing avenue for a leisurely evening stroll along the park's periphery. Photographic opportunities are abundant, with the promenade affording breathtaking views of the Saint-Laurent river with the backdrop of the Laviolette bridge. The area in an around the park is blessed with an excellent range of restaurants offering outdoor seating to take advantage of the picturesque location. Come winter, and the park transforms into a fantastic ice rink for some skating fun. Owing to its stunning location, the park is frequently host to a number cultural festivals and events. A regular haunt of locals and tourists alike, Parc Portuaire is an excellent urban park worth a visit.

    »Moulin Seigneurial de Pointe-du-Lac

    One of the most well-preserved historical monuments in Pointe-du-Lac, Moulin Seigneurial de Pointe-du-Lac is an ancient flourmill that dates back to 1765. Adjoining the flourmill is a sawmill dating from the same period. One of the highlights of the facility is that the equipment within the mill is still functional. Visitors to the mill can explore the facility and get a better understanding of how things worked back then. There are dedicated guided tours of the facility as well as an exciting costume tour for the kids. Declared as a historic landmark, the facility has been well-maintained and a treat to explore. A definite must-visit when in Pointe-du-Lac.

    »Monument des Braves

    Monument des Braves is a cenotaph built in the memory of those who sacrificed their lives in the World War I and II. The monument was built in 1948 and has a bronze sword in the middle with three laurel wreaths below it on both sides. There is a bronze structure of a woman holding a dying soldier at the bottom of the monument. Names of the soldiers who died in World War I are mentioned on the south side while those who lost their lives in World War II are engraved on the north side. A soldier helmet is perched at the top.
