    »Filene Center at Wolf Trap

    Wolf Trap's Filene Center is located at America's National Park for the Performing Arts. This outdoor venue offers performances in every genre of the performing arts as well as educational programs, master classes, special events, and holiday activities for families. The Filene Center opened in 1971. Half of the seating (roughly 4,000) is under cover with open sides while the rest of the seating is on a sloping lawn, perfect for picnics.

    Following an extensive renovation, this old movie theater reopened in 1998 as a venue for national and regional country, bluegrass, rock and folk bands. Great effort went into restoring the original luster of this art deco theatre. Smoking is prohibited in the dining area and the balcony of the State Theatre.
