Operating in association with the Senator John Heinz History Center, an affiliate of the Smithsonian in Pittsburgh and Pennsylvania's largest history museum; Meadowcroft features a recreated 1800's rural village and presently the oldest evidence of a human presence in North America. The Meadowcroft Rockshelter includes artifacts of stone, animal bone and wood and plant and animal remains of over 130 species. Visitors of the village can see a one-room schoolhouse, blacksmith shop, church, covered bridge and two log houses.
The mansion built in the Italianate Style by pottery magnate C.C. Thompson in 1876 and preserved in turn of the century grandeur is listed on the National Register of Historical Places.
Houses a fine collection of utilitarian and art ware produced by the more than 200 area potteries which have operated in the East Liverpool area since 1839, including the world's largest collection of Lotusware.
Hall of Fame honorees, Holtz memorabilia, unique exhibits. An inspiration and learning center for outstanding contributions in commerce, medicine, politics, sports, entertainment and community enrichment.
Displays photos of 100 fires from city's history, antique firefighting equipment, and Gamewell's alarm system.
Three-story Victorian home museum operated by the Wellsville Historical Society. Open May through September with tours by appointment only.
