This is a nightclub with a difference and a pot-pourri of things you can do besides just dancing. Marquee hosts retro parties quite often, along with their under 28 party which is quite popular. They even have a country and ladies nights. And, if music and drinking is not enough, you can enjoy games like billiards and foosball or you could just throw some darts. Its all these elements and diversity that makes this place unique.
A central bar frequented predominantly by local gay men, Predigerhof Bistro has a heavy beer culture but spirits and cocktails are available as well. Hot and cold snacks are on offer, but the menu varies. There is a backyard garden open in summer. Inside, the Predigerhof is decorated rather erratically, with the wood-panelled walls clashing with chrome and marble tables, the linoleum bar and stone floor. The music tends to be old German songs - played over and over again.
Dynamo Werk21 is a nightclub in the industrial quarter of Zurich, which regularly invites upcoming as well as established artistes to perform. The interiors are pleasing and patrons can expect some delicious meals along with their wine, before a performance commences. The preferred genre here, tends to tilt towards heavy metal, Gothic and industrial rock and one must be prepared for a high energy night out. Please call ahead for open hours.
Described as an 'ad hoc live club', Bazillus is the place to go if you want to see the creation of music in action. Playing Jazz and Soul, a collection of artists come together at this venue several night a week to make music, and put on a great show for those who appreciate music that is spontaneous and rock solid at the same time. Show schedules vary from week-to-week, though most shows start around 8:00 PM, so be sure to check the schedule on their website to take advantage of a great live show. Even better, they have a bar, too, so there's one more thing to add to the list of reasons to visit this unique venue.
A trendy old town nightspot mainly for young gays, Cranberry gets going late and the narrow bar downstairs gets quite crowded even during the week. On weekends, Zürich's mainstream gay crowd literally flock to Cranberry. There is a large selection of professionally mixed American cocktails on offer, and if you want to escape the loud music in the bar, the upstairs 'Churchill Smoking Lounge' offers a leisurely evening over a glass of port or rum and a classy cigar. On Wednesdays, the leather sofas upstairs become the domain of the local gay youth club.
A long-running gay night club in the heart of town, T & M club has a large bar and disco with ever changing exciting themes. While the drag shows attract the major crowd, many others also enjoy the DJ nights and live music performances hosted here. You can head upstairs to chill out at the bar or play billiards, darts and other games. Although mainly gay friendly, this place welcomes everyone to have the time of their life.

During the day, it's a chic place to chill out and do lunch. After dark, look out! With 120 cocktails on offer, the Sugarlounge is "the" place for fancy drinks; just don't plan on trying them all. In addition, they serve beer, wine and a huge selection of fruit juice and virgin cocktails. Some drinks cost more after 9p, so it pays to be a little early. The Sugarlounge hosts a plethora of parties and other events, including salsa lessons on Wednesdays. The minimum age for evening events is 21.

Located on Waldmannstrasse, the nightclub features an awesome and highly eclectic music set and boasts of great acoustics and other technical support. 2.Akt is a bar and restaurant in the center of Zurich's business district and is very popular with a younger crowd. If you feel up to it, have a beer and snack while listening to the House and Trance music. At lunchtime the restaurant has very reasonably priced meals. The cuisine is Swiss and the menu includes things such as Gehacktes mit Hörnli or Pouletbrust (Chicken breast). Chinese fondue (Fondue Chinoise) is also on the menu, but is required to be ordered in advance.
Zukunft which means Magic when translated from German, is a nightclub in the trendy Aussersihl district of Zurich. It is a tad different from the rest, in the sense that its interiors are deliberately minimal. Do not let this fool you as this place has witnessed some outrageous cabaret shows in the past. On other days, there are the usual live performances and DJs playing here.
